Nordica Warehouses, Inc. is a 3PL warehouse with 3 complexes in Sioux Falls. We are currently looking to hiring experienced Fork Lift Operators for Weekday shifts, Monday thru Friday, 7:30am - 5pm. Some overtime opportunities available after training. Starting pay up to $18.00 an hour, depending on experience. We also offer bennifits and a great PTO package that starts after your first 90 days.

This complex has a wood yard with rail access and two buildings both with the ability to unload/load Boxcar's and trailers. We run both electric stand up lifts (crown) and sit down propane powered forklifts with clutch brakes. We also use a variety of attachments for our propane powered forklifts, like slipsheet and clamps of various sizes. The current opening is for working inside of our temperature controlled warehouse.

GENERAL DUTIES

Warehouse workers perform a variety of duties to include but not be limited to:

  • Unloading/loading of trucks with forklift
  • Picking orders with forklift or by hand
  • Packing orders
  • Counting/Inventory
  • Moving/Stacking/Organizing product in warehouse
  • Cleaning Warehouse and Equipment as needed/required
  • Daily fork lift inspection
  • Any duty required to keep the warehouse OSHA/AIB compliant (weekly/daily/month forms, pest control checking, cleaning, etc.)

Warehouse workers will be required to learn how to operate a variety of machinery in order to complete the work. Some examples are: propane sit down forklift, various attachments for the lifts(slipsheet, clamp), electric stand up lift, pallet jack and automated pallet wrapper. Nordica will provide training for all equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform the following functions daily for varying amounts of time:

1. Walking 7. Bending

2. Standing 8. Lift/carry up to 75lb

3. Kneeling 9. Counting

4. Carrying 10. Driving 8 hours a shift

5. Pushing 11. Lifting

6. Pulling 12. Writing

Any other duties as required by the Manager or Lead.
