Warehouse Operations Team Member – Order Picking & Event Support

Job Overview

Unique Events is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented team member to join our warehouse operations team. This position focuses heavily on accurately picking and preparing rental orders for events, maintaining organized inventory, and assisting with event installations and removals.

This is a hands-on warehouse role that supports the logistics behind weddings, corporate events, and large productions throughout Eastern Iowa.

We are looking for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with a team, and making sure every order is prepared correctly for our clients.

This role requires strong attention to detail when picking orders and availability for weekend event installs/removals.

Key Responsibilities

· Pick and prepare rental orders from warehouse inventory with high accuracy

· Maintain organized staging areas for upcoming events

· Assist with inventory tracking and quality control checks

· Load and unload event rental inventory for deliveries

· Drive company trucks to event locations when scheduled

· Assist with event installations and removals on weekends

· Complete basic computer documentation and order verification

Typical Weekly Task Breakdown

50-60% Order picking and staging event rentals

15–20% Driving company vehicles

15–20% Event installation and removal (weekends when scheduled)

15-20% Inventory control and warehouse organization

5-10% Quality control documentation and computer work

Note: Responsibilities may vary depending on event schedules

Schedule & Pay Incentives

· Full-time position

· Monday–Friday schedule with overtime during peak season

· Weekend availability required during peak season (May–November)

· Time-and-a-half pay for nights and weekends during events

Requirements

· Valid Iowa Driver’s License

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

· Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

· Strong attention to detail when preparing orders

Preferred Experience

· Warehouse order picking or logistics experience

· Driving commercial vehicles (No CDL required)

· Forklift or standing picker operation

Working Conditions

· Client interaction during event setups

· Event sites may be up to three hours from our Cedar Rapids facility
