Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to oversee our warehouse operations. This is a working manager position. Someone successful in the role will be on the floor working directly with the team and helping to direct workflow.

Preform Solutions is a Sioux Falls locally owned and operated manufacturer of plastic containers for the packaging industry for over 25 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Shipping/Receiving and Inventory departments
  • Oversee coordination of Shipping and Receiving both at main warehouse and offsite warehouse locations
  • Evaluate and reorganize
  • Communicate and coordinate with Shipping and Receiving Shift Lead to ensure teams are being directed properly and working efficiently
  • Utilize online calendar system to determine daily inbound and outbound trucks to plan daily workflow including locating and staging of materials, which dock doors should be used for loading/unloading, etc.
  • Coach and train Shipping/Receiving and Material Handling employees to properly scan and put away inventory
  • Work with/oversee Inventory Clerk to ensure accurate inventory counts at main location and offsite warehouse locations; assist with resolving discrepancies as needed
  • Communicate with truckers and set up dock locations for loading product
  • Verify loads being shipped to purchase orders/pick list provided by management to ensure correct product is shipped to the customer
  • Ensure correct shipping/receiving paperwork is completed and retained for company records and corresponding paperwork is sent with the truck driver. This includes: pick lists, packing lists, bill of lading, and any international documentation that is needed
  • High frequency of communication with multiple teams
  • Discuss department challenges with Management to find/propose solutions
  • Give feedback to assist with department performance reviews and performance management as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must Include:

  • Prior experience leading a warehouse team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow-up timely
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to complete data entry into Excel with limited direction
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
  • Prior forklift experience required
  • Valid drivers license required with willingness to travel to other locations in Sioux Falls

Hours

Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm, with additional hours as required, dependent on workload; May need to adjust hours at times to work with team members on a later shift.

Compensation

Compensation will be based upon prior education and experience.

This full-time position includes our comprehensive benefit package of PTO, Holiday Pay, Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, short-term/long-term disability, and 401k plan.
