<p>The Transportation Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the transportation operations of our company. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of goods and materials while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.)</p><br><br>If you are interested in applying for this job, please make sure you meet the following requirements as listed below.<br><ul><li><p>Plans and schedules bus services including breaks of all operational personnel to provide uninterrupted public transportation services;</p></li><li><p>Monitors vehicle locations and movement patterns and makes decisions affecting service scheduling and reliability;</p></li><li><p>Supervises the daily work performance of operational personnel;</p></li><li><p>Maintains adequate inventory controls;</p></li><li><p>Performs or oversees the maintaining and processing of all operational records and reports;</p></li><li><p>Responds to and reports upon complaints, incidents, accidents and other emergency situations;</p></li><li><p>Monitors daily fare collection and deposits;</p></li><li><p>Makes Mobility reservations and monitors service provided;</p></li><li><p>Monitors operators’ attendance and addresses any concerns;</p></li><li><p>Monitors all communication, two-way radio, telephone and surveillance camera systems;</p></li><li><p>Recommends disciplinary action as appropriate;</p></li><li><p>Monitors vehicle operation performance on the road;</p></li><li><p>Recommends route changes based on weather conditions, special events and road conditions;</p></li><li><p>Operates buses as needed; and</p></li><li><p>Performs other related job duties as assigned.</p></li></ul><br><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Knowledge of State regulations and laws pertaining to motor bus operations;</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of the operational principles and practices of modern transit systems;</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of bus maintenance and repair programs;</p></li><li><p>Ability to plan and supervise the work of others;</p></li><li><p>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and with the public;</p></li><li><p>Ability to read, understand and implement complex schedules and manuals;</p></li><li><p>Ability to operate small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems;</p></li><li><p>Ability to operate computers for data entry, word processing and/or recordkeeping purposes;</p></li><li><p>Ability to operate handheld electronic devices including cell phones; and</p></li><li><p>Ability to operate and repair small/light equipment, such as power tools.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Graduation from an accredited High School or holds an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED); and three (3) years of related operational experience in transit systems..</p></li><li><p>This position is designated as Safety Sensitive due to the tasks or duties that the employer reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employeeperforming the task, other individuals, and or may lead to damage to property.
