Raytheon is hiring a Logistics professional to oversee and manage the operational activity and contract oversight duties over Raytheon’s strategic Third-Party Logistics Manager (3PL) provider(s). Selected candidate will reside onsite in Atlanta, GA and have oversight responsibilities over 3PL logistics activities in Atlanta, GA and Louisville, KY. Additionally, the identified candidate will work collaboratively with his/her counterparts across the United States to assist in the support of 3PL engagements in Santa Fe Springs, CA - Carrollton, TX - San Diego, CA, and Manchester-NH. The selected candidate will lead a small team of Raytheon logistics professionals and will be responsible for collaborating with the 3PL to ensure Logistics performance is aligned with Raytheon defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), including, but not limited to, Dock to Stock, Inventory Accuracy, and Shop order/Kitting cycle times. This oversight will be performed through daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews of 3PL performance. The candidate will assist in identifying, developing, and initiating arenaflex savings activities with our 3PL through waste reduction and lean concepts. Additionally, the candidate will help to monitor 3PL compliance with contract requirements and ensure output quality is aligned with expectations. The candidate will serve as the primary liaison between our 3PL and Raytheon factory, identifying concerns, supporting factory initiatives, etc. The selected candidate will assist in the strategy and business case development for new engagements. Additionally, the candidate will be involved in Statement of Work (SOW) harmonization and development, Request for Pricing (RFP) initiatives, review of pricing responses, funding alignment and oversight, and new transitions/added scope. During new engagements, the candidate and his/her team will be responsible for assisting in hyper care support, ensuring 3PL staffing levels are adequate, identifying layouts and transition plans, and providing tactical and strategic input to properly onboard the 3PL. What You Will Do • Overseeing 3PL execution and driving process improvement opportunities through lean manufacturing concepts and principles • Serving as key liaison between 3PL and Raytheon factory • Supporting the 3PL cycle, from vision to steady state execution, including the process steps of Strategic Vision, Business Case Development, SOW creation, Request for Proposal (RFP) Purchase Order creation, physical transition, hyper care support, and steady state oversight. • Leading highly complex 3PL transition projects with high dollar spend • Overseeing 3PL compliance to contract • Collaborating with 3PL to deep dive into KPI performance through data analytics and process reviews. • In support of Atlanta and Louisville oversight activities, travel will be required. Qualifications You Must Have • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum eight (8) years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum five (5) years experience. • Experience with either Logistics, Supply Chain, Inventory, or Operations. • Supervisory or managerial experience. • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
