Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are organized, properly labeled, and replenished regularly to maintain an attractive store presentation
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and receipts
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed
  • Upsell additional items or promotions to enhance the customer experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Maintain merchandising standards by arranging products attractively and following store layouts and planograms
  • Manage inventory levels through stocking, product rotation, and communicating low-stock items to management
  • Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
  • Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform physical tasks involved in stocking products
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and proactive problem-solving approach
  • Knowledge of merchandising techniques, upselling strategies, and product demos to enhance the shopping experience
