Sr. Manager, Social Media (Remote US or UK)

WTA Ventures was founded as a joint venture partnership between the WTA Tour and private equity firm CVC Capital Partners, in March 2023. WTA Ventures manage the commercial aspects of women's tennis, in order to develop and grow the sport worldwide.We are only accepting candidates in the US and UK for this role. The Senior Manager is versatile and skilled digital marketing professional. This role will play a crucial role in expanding the reach of WTA channels and leading strategic initiatives to enhance the visibility and engagement of WTA content across owned and partner platforms.In this role, the Senior Manager will contribute to the global advancement of women's tennis by overseeing a diverse range of campaigns, collaborating with cross-functional teams and staying at the forefront of industry trends. The primary responsibility will be to harness key narratives within the sport and package them in a socially optimized manner. This role requires a positive attitude, proactive approach, and adaptability in a fast-paced, global-working environment.Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Director, Social Media to scale and execute multiple critical projects, campaigns, team scheduling and reports.Liaise with our in-house creative studio to manage design briefs and creative audit projects.Manage campaigns in partnership with external agencies, including local creator collaborations and cross-promotional opportunities.Foster day-to-day collaboration with internal departments such as Creative, PR, Editorial, Partnerships and external partners for key initiatives.Generate and present compelling content ideas that highlight our athletes and tournaments.Optimize content plans across digital partner rights in coordination with the Partnerships department.Stay updated on trends and emerging platforms, working alongside our Analytics team to refine benchmarks and KPIs.Publish content across all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube TikTok, and more).Ensure a consistent tone of voice for WTA's social media platforms.Advocate for diversity and inclusion in sports, championing initiatives that promote equality and representation.Cultivate relationships with athletes, influencers, and key stakeholders in the women's sports community.Concentrate on process, management, overall strategy, and coordination.Undertake other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, social media, video production or related field of study required.Minimum of 4 years of experience in social media, either within an agency or in-house at a major consumer or sports brand required.Experience managing substantial accounts in the sports industry, preferably in live sports.Experience collaborating with teams across different time zones.A minimum of 2 years of experience formulating social strategies and a proven track record in developing social-first concepts required.Experience with international business travel and working with a globally dispersed workforce.Required Skills and Competencies:A creative and confident social media expert with a passion for effective storytelling on social platforms. Proactive in experimenting with emerging trends and content formats.In-depth knowledge of tennis, especially women's tennis, its personalities, tournament structure and a strong grasp of the women's sports landscape.Exceptional project management skills, with prior experience handling large-scale projects and campaigns involving multiple internal and external stakeholders, including commercial partnerships, media, creative agencies, brands, PR and .com/digital.In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, analytics tools and emerging trends in digital media.Basic graphic and video editing skills, with experience in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Rush and/or Premiere Pro, as well as live video clipping tools (e.g., WSC, Grabyo).Passion for promoting diversity and inclusion in sports.Clear understanding of and experience in paid media, including its use for audience growth and segmentation, adapted to various campaign objectives.Uphold WTA Core Values: Be Progressive, Collaborative, Passionate, and show Integrity.
