About the job The Technology, Infrastructure, and Architecture is looking for a Sr.

Atlassian Engineer to architect, design, implementation, and operate of Jira and Confluence tools.

As an expert you will drive standards and best practices to ensure quality services and sustainability.

Our team partners with executive stakeholders and drive enterprise-wide transformation through scalable, governed, and collaborative delivery frameworks.

Helping to cultivate adoption, lead enterprise-wide improvement, and be a trusted advisor in maturing Atlassian platforms across departments.

As a Senior Atlassian Engineer, you will: * Lead and support tool migrations, upgrades and updates, ensuring minimal or no downtime and data integrity during maintenance windows.

Conduct regular health checks and maintenance tasks to keep the platform running smoothly.

* Stay current with Atlassian product updates, ecosystem changes, and industry best practices.

Evaluate, install, and configure Jira plugins, Confluence macros, and integrations to extend the platform's capabilities and integrate with other tools in the technology stack.

Perform Jira frond-end administrative tasks as needed.

* Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies.

* Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for Jira and Confluence.

Document backup and recovery processes and train relevant staff members.

* Investigate, troubleshoot and fix issues related to Atlassian tools and database servers.

* Monitor system performance and usage, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

* Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required Qualifications * 8 years of software programming experience with 5 years of experience as a Atlassian Administrator, handling configuration and administration of Jira and Confluence instances.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field * Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

* Strong scripting skills in Groovy, Python, and JQL (Jira Query Language for Jira automation and customization) * Atlassian Jira Certifications * Hands on experience with API integrations, webhooks, REST APIs, Ansible and GitHub * Located in the Eastern or Central Time Zone (US) and have the ability to adjust working hours to accommodate a variety of time zones * You're curious, passionate, authentic and accountable.

Preferred Qualifications * Experience with reporting and data analysis within Jira and Confluence * Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) * Atlassian Certified Expert * Experience with Atlassian Marketplace apps (e.g., ScriptRunner, Project Configurator) * Experience with Atlassian Data Center and Cloud migrations.
