Solar Project Manager (Technical) | RE-volv | San Francisco, CA (Remote candidates also considered)<br><br>RE-volv is hiring an experienced technical solar professional to help develop and manage our nonprofit solar installations. In this role, you will coordinate sales, finance, operations and project management. You will be responsible for validating installer bids for small nonprofit commercial projects (30kW to 500kW), building accurate Energy Toolbase models, and managing a pipeline of projects from contract signature to Permission to Operate (PTO).<br><br>We are looking for a Solar Project Manager with at least 4–6 years of experience who can analyze project designs, spot technical red flags, manage installation timelines, and ensure our projects deliver the savings we promise our nonprofit clients.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br><ul><li> Proposal Generation & Technical Vetting (40%)</li><li> Bid and Contract Review: Review installer quotes to ensure equipment is Tier 1, production estimates are accurate, and costs are appropriate. Compare bids to identify the best installers and proposals for our nonprofit clients. Ensure accurate contract details and timely execution of installer and financing agreements.</li><li> Incentive Optimization: Ensure proposals are accurately leveraging available incentives such as the ITC, RECs and any local government or utility programs. Outline project requirements to ensure successful monetization of incentives.</li><li> ETB Modeling: Create and refine customized customer-facing solar and storage proposals using Energy Toolbase (ETB). Ensure utility rates, export values, and savings projections are accurate. Create custom ETB transactions and update proposal templates as needed.</li><li> Approved Lists: Create and maintain RE-volv’s Approved Vendor and Equipment lists, ensuring we only work with vetted partners and top-tier equipment. Support outreach to new installers and vet them to ensure they meet our quality standards.</li><li> Salesforce Data: Ensure real-time accuracy of project data in Salesforce. You will be responsible for logging bid details, updating proposal versions, and maintaining clean data.</li><li> Project Management & Construction Oversight (50%)</li><li> Remote Construction Management: Work with the Director of Solar Operations to oversee solar and storage installations. You will track project milestones and collect required documentation (photos, permits, lien releases), support payment disbursements, and ensure the project schedule is met. Act as the primary point of contact for installers during the build phase.</li><li> Pipeline Velocity: Proactively manage project stages in Salesforce. Identify potential delays and work with installers and AHJs to troubleshoot, ensuring timely installations.</li><li> Documentation: Ensure all project files, from contracts to plan sets, are correctly organized and stored.</li><li> Compliance & Operations Support (10%)</li><li> FEOC/PFE & Policy: Stay informed on industry requirements, specifically Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) and Prohibited Foreign Entity (PFE) rules, to ensure our equipment procurement remains compliant for tax credit purposes.</li><li> Safe Harbor: Support the solar team in tracking and documenting equipment for Safe Harbor provisions to maximize tax benefits.</li><li> Process Improvement: Assist the solar team in refining checklists and workflows to make our sales, vetting, and construction processes more streamlined and efficient.<br><br></li></ul>Learn more and apply
