Role Summary: The Senior Asset Manager supports the AVP of the Agency Asset Management team by serving as a subject matter expert. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive processes and procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance across all servicing and asset management activities. Additionally, this role will assist with staff training and development initiatives to strengthen team capabilities and performance. The individual will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive operational excellence and advance CPC’s strategic objectives. What You’ll Do: • Manage a portfolio of 125+ SBL, Conventional, and Affordable Investor loans. • Prepare formal requests requiring Investor approval, including management changes, extensions, loan modifications, and easements. • Monitor the physical condition of property collateral by reviewing or conducting property inspections; follow up with borrowers to ensure timely completion of required repairs and advise Investors accordingly. • Assess and manage risk by preparing credit watch list rating write-arenaflex for executive review and approval. • Review closing documents to verify accuracy of loan setup for new or converted loans; follow up with closing coordinators and legal counsel to collect missing documents and ensure proper file setup and compliance with loan covenants. • Make collection calls on delinquent loans, follow up to ensure payment receipt, and report status per established guidelines; participate in problem loan discussions and coordinate late payment letters and charges. • Review and approve disbursements from reserves and other collateral escrows in accordance with Investor and departmental guidelines. • Ensure all loan-related system changes are completed per documentation and Investor requirements. • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Asset Management team, providing guidance on complex issues and best practices. • Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive processes and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across all servicing and asset management functions. • Assist in training and development initiatives for Asset Management staff, including onboarding and ongoing education. Skills and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s in Business, Finance or Real Estate preferred. • 3-5 years' relevant experience within Commercial Loan Agency Servicing, real estate asset/portfolio management, finance, development, or underwriting ideal. • Understanding of multifamily rental housing development, ownership, operational and management. • Familiarity with federal, state and local affordable housing programs. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments, meet deadlines, coordinate and communicate effectively and cultivate professional relationships. • Excellent oral and written communication skills and problem-solving skills. • Ability to travel, as necessary. Periodic travel to our Manhattan or Chappaqua, NY office may be required. The salary range for this position is $90,000 – $110,000, depending on experience.
