As our Senior Legal Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in scaling and optimizing the Legal function as Strava continues to grow globally. You will own and evolve legal operations strategy, systems, processes, and vendor management, while serving as a trusted partner to Legal leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. This role is ideal for a highly experienced legal operations professional who thrives in ambiguity, brings strong judgment, and enjoys building durable, scalable solutions in a fast-moving environment. This role will report to the General Counsel. We follow a flexible hybrid model that translates to more than half your time on-site in our San Francisco office— three days per week. What You’ll Do: • Own and continuously improve the legal operations roadmap, aligning operational priorities with Legal and company-wide goals. • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of legal workflows, including contract lifecycle management, matter intake, and compliance processes. • Own and administer legal technology systems, including contract management, matter management, e-billing, discovery, AI, and related tools. • Partner with Legal, Finance, IT, People, Procurement, and other teams to drive cross-functional initiatives, operational excellence, and autonomy / self-service. • Manage outside counsel relationships, including onboarding, performance management, rate negotiations, and spend optimization. • Own legal budgeting, forecasting, and spend tracking, providing clear and actionable insights to Legal leadership. • Develop and maintain SOPs, SLAs, playbooks, templates, and enablement resources for Legal and business teams. • Build reporting, dashboards, and KPIs that provide visibility into legal workload, risk, performance, and efficiency. • Triage and provide frontline support for requests from the Company to the legal department. Requirements: • 8+ years of experience in legal operations, legal project management, or related in-house legal roles. • Hands-on experience owning legal technology platforms and driving adoption. • Experience managing legal spend, vendors, and budgets with a strong focus on efficiency and value. • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with senior stakeholders. • Confidence using modern tools and systems (e.g., Generative AI, CLM tools, Asana, Slack, Notion) to amplify impact.
