Join a brand new special needs school in Croydon. We are looking for an organised, proactive and welcoming Administration Assistant to help build a positive, child-centred environment from the very beginning.

About the Role

Working closely with the Assistant Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you’ll be central to the smooth day-to-day running of the school.

You’ll be the friendly face that welcomes visitors, the organised mind behind key processes, and the dependable support that keeps everything moving efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the leadership team with school administration

Managing emails, communication and enquiries

Reviewing and amending pupil documentation

Processing purchase orders and managing petty cash

Coordinating transport and PE activities

Using school systems and technology (computer, scanner, photocopier)

Helping ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory standards

You’ll help create a calm, professional and well-organised environment that allows our teaching teams to focus on what matters most — the children.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

Experienced in an administrative role (school experience desirable)

Confident using technology and office systems

Highly organised and detail-oriented

Warm, approachable and able to build positive relationships with children and adults

Calm, professional and able to manage multiple priorities
