[Remote] Sr. Java Developer

They are seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and develop enterprise-class applications, focusing on electronic payment card transactions and related technologies.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, plan, implement, and support electronic payment card transactions, processing, and authorization projects
  • Design and develop java-based, enterprise-class application solutions with technologies such as Java and JavaScript
  • Gather and analyze users’ needs to define and develop technology solutions related to pre-paid/loadable card technologies and mobile application software
  • Analyze, document, communicate, and validate business and system requirements using Agile methodologies
  • Review technical requirements with the development team and assist in the development of functional designs
  • Develop and maintain project plans for all application configurations and code changes documented by requirements as well as prepare proper documentation, for Java components, through the use of use cases, class and sequence diagrams, and detailed designs
  • Provide 24x7 production support to analyze technical issues and identify the root cause
  • Server-side/Web Services development, enhancing and maintaining enterprise-class applications on the J2EE application development platform
  • Participating in all phases of the SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle)
  • Implementing applications utilizing any J2EE Application Server, Authentication and Authorization, Caching strategies
  • Java, J2EE, REST/SOAP, HTML5, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, Webix JS, Spring, JSON, XML, JWT, OAuth, Postman, ReadyAPI, and/or similar technologies
  • Implementing REST services supporting client-facing application
  • Implementing REST services security using JWT, OAuth, and other related technologies / standards
  • Development of self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components Demonstrable experience developing, optimizing, and maintaining an enterprise-level web services including complete ownership of the services stack
  • Agile Development Methodologies (preferably Scrum)
  • CI/CD methodologies and containerized application deployments
  • Web applications developed for Cloud platforms

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in Server-side/Web Services development, enhancing and maintaining enterprise-class applications on the J2EE application development platform
  • 3+ years hands on experience as Full Stack Java developer
  • 2 years hands on Federal government or State level experience
  • 1 year experience in Health and Human Services programs (SNAP and TANF)
  • 1 year experience in Eligibility and Enrollment
