Key Responsibilities : • Manage all aspects of civil litigation, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and settlement negotiations. • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents. • Attend hearings, mediations, and arbitrations. • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and trial preparation. • Maintain organized case files and meet court deadlines. • Handle multiple cases with efficiency and attention to detail. • Provide case evaluations and risk assessments to clients. • Assist in negotiating settlements and resolving disputes effectively. • Prepare witnesses and experts for depositions and trial testimony. • Stay up to date on relevant case law and legal trends affecting practice areas. • Ensure compliance with court rules, procedures, and ethical obligations. Qualifications : • Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar. • 3+ years of civil litigation experience. • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. • Experience managing cases from inception to resolution. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Trial experience is a plus but not required.
