Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Stone Search, LLC is seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer to support the firm’s security operations, engineering, and architecture functions. This role is crucial for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the firm’s data and IT infrastructure while enabling secure client service delivery and advancing enterprise IT objectives. Responsibilities • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security logs and events using EDR, SIEM, and log aggregation tools • Proactively manage the firm’s vulnerability management program to minimize risk • Administer and maintain assigned security technologies, including: • Application control • Endpoint detection and response (EDR)/antivirus • Email security platforms • Attack simulation platforms • Threat intelligence and hunting tools • AI-driven security solutions • Support incident response, investigations, and remediation efforts • Track compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements • Research security threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging trends, recommending appropriate countermeasures • Report and track security metrics, incidents, and remediation activities • Contribute to third-party risk assessments, compliance initiatives, and security awareness training • Participate in the IT Security on-call rotation • Evaluate and recommend security systems, technologies, and standards to strengthen enterprise infrastructure • Review applications, SaaS solutions, and system changes for security risks and required mitigations • Actively engage in the Change Advisory Board (CAB) • Conduct research on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices to reduce risk exposure • Contribute to the development and refinement of security policies, standards, and procedures Skills • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered • Minimum 3 years of experience in Information Security or IT with significant security responsibilities • Strong knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux, and Active Directory • Solid understanding of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, routing) • Expertise in security engineering, system and network security, authentication, encryption, application security, and cloud security • Proficiency in arenaflex Office Suite and related software • Experience applying AI tools to enhance security operations • Strong remote collaboration skills • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences • Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical reports and presentations • Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism with a client-focused mindset • Effective problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting business needs, including occasional extended hours Company Overview • STONE SEARCH is a boutique Executive Search firm specializing in the placement of seasoned professionals within the internetworking/intranetworking fields of technology in both full time and consulting engagements.
