MINDVERSE CONSULTING SERVICES is seeking a detail-oriented, security-focused GitHub Administrator to manage and optimize their organization’s GitHub environment. The role involves governance, access controls, automation, compliance enforcement, and improving developer workflows across GitHub Enterprise/Cloud.


Responsibilities

  • Manage organization settings, repositories, teams, and permissions within GitHub Enterprise/Cloud
  • Design and maintain branching strategies and repository standards
  • Implement and enforce access control policies (RBAC)
  • Oversee the full repository lifecycle (creation, archiving, deletion)
  • Configure and monitor GitHub security features (Dependabot, secret scanning, code scanning)
  • Enforce branch protection rules and required reviews
  • Implement SSO, SCIM provisioning, and integrations with identity providers
  • Participate in access audits and compliance reporting cycles
  • Ensure adherence to internal security and regulatory standards
  • Provide guidance on Git workflows and best practices
  • Create and maintain documentation and training materials
  • Support developers with repository, automation, and workflow questions
  • Drive initiatives that improve developer productivity and workflow efficiency
  • Track repository usage, workflow performance, and security metrics
  • Generate periodic reports on code quality, vulnerabilities, and activity trends

Skills

  • 3+ years administering GitHub Enterprise (Cloud or Server)
  • Strong understanding of Git version control concepts and branching strategies
  • Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with SSO, SCIM, and identity management integrations
  • Knowledge of secure coding and DevSecOps best practices
  • Experience scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
  • Experience working in regulated environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
