About this role

The role of senior events coordinator / FOH senior at BlackRock is responsible for delivering a 5-star level of service across several reception desks, within a corporate environment. Candidates will need to demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills, both in person and over the phone, as well as a proficiency in administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to BlackRock policies
  • Comply with the Front of House Service standards and operating procedures, ensuring it is followed by all team members.
  • Manage the 5th floor events team.  Role will be based on this floor.
  • Proactively deal with enquiries and requests in person, via the telephone or via email in a timely manner
  • Maintain a strong awareness of business activity and communicate all updates to your team members.
  • Communicate effectively with peers and the management team, displaying accuracy and attention to detail both in verbal and written communication
  • Maintain the necessary awareness of building facilities to advise clients appropriately
  • Maintain a clear, presentable working area. Report all maintenance faults/hazards and cleaning requests to the required team.
  • Support the training of new team members.
  • Manage staff in line with company policy
  • Recruit and retain the best person for the job, conduct interviews and team reviews
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide clear direction to individuals and teams
  • Clarify team objectives and provide accompanying support, motivation and coaching to reach results
  • Devise and implement training plans aligned to company objectives
  • Aspire to be a positive role model
  • Help develop team to meet growth opportunities, ensuring training needs are met.
  • Hold regular events meetings with vendors and hosts
  • Set and enforce company standards relating to people, policies and procedures.
  • Have a good understanding of the room booking system, manage and update it where required.
  • Manage Vendors appropriately working closing with catering AV & the FM team
  • Help ensure yearly spend comes within budget and support with invoices
  • Support management with required project work
  • Abide by all Security H&S policies.
  • Review and manage BCM process
  • Support FOH team across EMEA with enquires and support
  • Understand how the alert enterprise works for passes and visitor management
