Quality Assurance Analyst

Kipsu is a growth stage Minneapolis-based technology company that helps service professionals enhance customer interactions through innovative technology. The QA Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality by writing and executing test plans, verifying bugs, and contributing to the overall quality assurance process within the engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Write and execute QA test plans on new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
  • Contribute to requirements analysis for new product development
  • Verify and reproduce bugs reported by customers
  • Participate in planning and estimation efforts as part of cross-functional development team
  • Perform release testing and handle release communication in conjunction with our release cycle
  • Maintain a library of system test plans and perform regression testing
  • Contribute test cases used to develop end-to-end test automation
  • Assist in the growth and development of the QA organization by encouraging and proposing QA best practices
  • Act as a subject matter expert by obtaining product expertise through everyday interactions with our system

Skills

  • An enthusiasm for software that works as intended, and a healthy dose of irritation when it doesn't

  • 1+ years of experience in a technology role or working for a tech company; experience as a QA Analyst a plus
  • Basic understanding of APIs. This could be using tools like Postman or Swagger, or via code
  • Bonus points if you have some technical knowledge of performance testing, level of comfort editing HTML, using the command line, working with SQL, or have dabbled with something technical like this in the past
