QC and Document Control Specialist - Oil & Gas industry (100% virtual)- Ongoing Need

Clarity is seeking a Quality Control (QC) and Document Control Specialist to join a Learning and Development team in the redesign and development of approximately 60 curricula in multiple phases.

This dual-role position combines Quality Control (QC) and Document Control to ensure all training materials meet the client’s rigorous standards for accuracy, consistency, and technical precision. The QC responsibilities focus on reviewing eLearning courses and supporting materials for alignment with the style guide, branding, and learning objectives. The Document Control responsibilities focus on maintaining organized, version-controlled files across SharePoint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with the Clarity Training Project Team, including the project director, project managers, and other team members.
  • Review training deliverables such as storyboards, Storyline 360 lessons, and other documentation to ensure accuracy, branding consistency, and adherence to the style guide and SOPs.
  • Conduct “cold-eye” reviews of alpha and beta Storyline lessons, performing functionality testing and validating that all knowledge checks and verification questions are accurate and working properly.
  • Review and maintain lesson glossaries, ensuring all technical terms are clearly defined, used consistently, and aligned with the Master Glossary.
  • Maintain document organization, enforce file-naming conventions, track version control, and archive previous versions in SharePoint.
  • Conduct regular audits of project materials to ensure consistent quality across all deliverables.
  • Perform additional QC and document management tasks as needed.
Requirements:
    • Experience in instructional design support, document control, or eLearning QC within the oil and gas industry or an adjacent technical field.
    • Experience quality-checking eLearning courses in Articulate Storyline, including functionality, accuracy, and visual consistency.
    • Skilled in reviewing technical content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to standards.
    • Strong attention to detail with proven ability to follow QC checklists and identify errors or inconsistencies.
    • Proficient in proofreading for grammar and punctuation (AP Style Guide).
    • Experienced in SharePoint and Microsoft Office, including file monitoring, naming conventions, version control, and archiving.
    • Collaborative and resourceful, with the ability to partner effectively with project teams and consultants

Hours: up to 40 hours per week, with some availability during business hours for meetings

The pay range for this is $50.00 to $55.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
