About the position The Project Manager Trainee (PMT) position at Eurofins Lancaster Labs is designed for individuals transitioning into project management within the Bio/Pharmaceutical contract testing sector. This role focuses on developing essential project management skills, fostering client relationships, and supporting project managers in various administrative and operational tasks. The position offers opportunities for hybrid and remote work, with a clear pathway to advancement into a full Project Manager role after a training period of 9-12 months. Responsibilities • Shadow Project Managers to learn processes and duties required for a project management position. • Support PMs in an administrative capacity with varied assignments, including reviewing sample submissions and managing critical testing documentation. • Learn to drive project scopes, budgets, and schedules to meet and exceed customer expectations. • Work with fellow PMTs and the Client Services Team to respond to live client requests for testing and routine sample management. • Track financial aspects of projects including purchase and invoice management. • Facilitate investigations with technical teams and clients for on-time closure of non-routine events. • Assist with data management of special projects assigned to the department. • Be assigned dedicated projects as determined by the candidate's Group Leader. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in science, business, or related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience. • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. • Strong organization and attention to detail. • Prior project management, customer service, or bench laboratory work in chemistry, biology, or engineering experience is strongly encouraged. • Computer skills, including experience with MS Office and MS Project or other project organization tools. • Ability to learn new techniques and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a positive attitude under critical deadlines. Nice-to-haves • Experience navigating a LIMS or equivalent system. • GMP knowledge is a plus.
