Project Manager IT - Epic Sr : IT Hoag Clinic - Remote

<strong>Job Description</strong><br><br><b>Primary Duties and Responsibilities</b><br>The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning and execution of programs and projects as assigned by department leader. The Sr. Project Manager will oversee the most complex programs and projects, which will likely involve a diverse set of components, including healthcare processes and technology, business processes and technology, and construction. The successful Sr. Project Manager must be proficient in managing the complexities associated with large, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, and must be able to communicate effectively with executive-level staff.<br><br>The individual in this position coordinates, facilitates, and monitors project milestones and budgets for assigned projects, and coordinates and leads cross-functional teams to deliver the projects.<br><b>EPIC IT</b><br>In addition, the Sr. PM project execution includes the direct completion or the coordination of the completion of project plans (WBSs), project-level reporting, financial management/budgeting, and all appropriate documents and Gate Review materials required under Hoag's IT PMM (Project Management Methodology). Projects including, but not limited to, new EPIC deployments, feature/function enhancements, upgrades/technical infrastructure enhancements. Leads matrix-style project teams including, technical resources, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), vendor, and Business Analysts to achieve the stated goals. Support may be for specific or multiple modules of Epic. Performs task analysis, long term, and short-term planning, and determining needs of the project and staff. Responsible for managing the Epic projects tasks in application area(s) that are highly complex.<br><b>INFRASTRUCTURE IT</b><br>In addition, the Sr. PM is responsible for providing project management expertise and oversight of infrastructure projects. Ensure timely, budget-friendly delivery without compromising quality. Execution includes periodic reporting on initiative status, construction schedules, activities, and tasks, risk, interdependencies, and other major stakeholders. Prepares and present decision-making material for the top management and the board while getting involved in the build integrations, from the planning/design phase up to delivery.<br><br><strong>Qualifications</strong><br><br><strong>Education and Experience</strong> <strong>Required:</strong><br><ul><li>7-10+ years of total experience</li><li>5+ years of project management experience</li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ Business/Clinical related field or Equivalent relevant experience</li><li>Experience with all phases of project management with demonstrated success across a variety of project types</li><li>Highly proficient in Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)</li></ul><br><strong>Preferred:</strong><br><ul><li>Master's degree</li><li>Degree in engineering or business</li><li>Consulting experience</li><li>Experience managing healthcare-related projects and familiarity with healthcare provider industry</li><li>Performance improvement experience (in support of anticipated Cost Excellence projects)</li><li>EPIC IT and Infrastructure IT Only</li><li>In addition, two years of supervisory or managerial experience, including within healthcare organizations.
