Join the dynamic Product Operations team. In this highly visible role, you will lead the Operations technical team during the next generation product’s development and high volume production. As the technical lead for a product line, you will partner closely with multiple multi-functional teams during all phases of development to enable the product success.

Description

To be a successful team member within Product Operations you will partner with the Operations technical team (DFx, DFm, Test, SQE, PQE and others) during product development and high volume production. As a technical advisor for the product line, you will partner closely with Engineering throughout the lifecycle of development to enable operational success through to mass production.

Own and drive key operational metrics including yield and UPH to ensure complete ramp readiness

Drive process development, documentation, optimization and validation, including all equipment requirement plans

Develop and implement new technologies to enhance production quality, capacity and efficiency

Provide regular VP level communication of technical health of program.

Generate Product Quality Plan (PQP)

Monitor Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) and Customer Audit (CA) processes at OEM sites

Handle and triage quality critical issues

Drive ongoing product improvements with OEM partners

Support AppleCare Service & Engineering on specific requests

Conduct periodic reviews of Field/Factory Quality Data with OEM partners

Leads Weekly Quality Improvement Forums

Generate monthly Product Health summary

Support and attend new product development builds as required

Ability to travel internationally up to 30%.

Preferred Qualifications

MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science or Industrial Engineering

exceptional ability to build relationships; clear, consistent communication; data-driven and results- oriented; enthusiastic and motivated

Obsessively passionate and inquisitive, seeking to pursue everyday problems in innovative ways

Laser-focused on the smallest details and able to use data forensics to solve complex manufacturing assembly quality issues

Experience partnering with off-shore manufacturers, high volume production and traveling to manufacturing sites

Direct experience partnering with functional engineering teams (ME, EE, TE, DFX or other)

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years of industry experience in one or more of the following disciplines: New Product Introduction / Design Engineering / Manufacturing Operations / Quality

BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science or Industrial Engineering

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,200 and $281,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
