Pre-sales Application Engineer

<h2><b>Job Description</b></h2><ul><li><p>Assists sales account managers and product specialists to meet or exceed sales quota by providing sales and customers with technical/scientific expertise on LC and LCMS, primarily in the areas of application and technical support in the Greater Bay Area.</p></li><li><p>May be client or product oriented.</p></li><li><p>Contributes to sales account planning.</p></li><li><p>Participates actively in the sales process from deal qualification to deal closure.</p></li><li><p>Owns the deal’s technical closure.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for meeting sales targets and for supporting sales organizations to meet targets.</p></li><li><p>Is knowledgeable of competition and able to identify lockout specifications (identify Agilent's competitive advantage over competition).</p></li><li><p>Analyzes customer requirements and recommends appropriate solutions.</p></li><li><p>Collaborates with the sales team in the development of technical sales strategies.</p></li><li><p>Evaluates and supports management on ramp to volume strategies for new products prior to release.</p></li><li><p>Is responsible for demos and for enhancing customers’ experience and satisfaction.</p></li><li><p>Provides training to the sales force.</p></li><li><p>Acts as the customer voice to influence future product/application design that meets customer needs, including writing application briefs to highlight product capabilities.</p></li><li><p>Prepares and delivers technical seminars to customers or potential customers and contributes to recognized scientific forums, including written, oral and poster presentations.</p></li><li><p>May also contribute to post-sales activities.</p></li><li><p>Must consent to participate and meet Agilent approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain access to customer sites.</p></li><li><p>Requirements may include, but are not limited to, proof of identification, proof of certification to perform the work required, customer health and safety requirements, etc.</p></li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b>Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li><p>Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.</p></li><li><p>Post-graduate, certification and/or license may be required.</p></li><li><p>Typically, at least 4+ years relevant experience for entry into this level.</p></li><li><p>Fluent in English and Cantonese.</p></li><li><p>Willingness and Ability to travel.</p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Additional Details</b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>This job has a full time weekly schedule.
