Part-Time Hybrid Accounting Clerk

Position Summary
SimulTrans, LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Clerk to support our accounting operations. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, excellent QuickBooks skills, and a positive, “can do” attitude. The position will be hybrid, with a mix of remote work and on-site time in our Mountain View office.

To be considered, candidates must have valid work authorization and at least three (3) years of accounting experience. This role is part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) with a hybrid schedule (onsite time required in Mountain View; exact schedule can be discussed).

Your Compensation

  • $28 – $35 per hour (DOE)
  • Benefits for part-time employees include 401(k) matching, sick leave, paid time off, and holiday pay

Primary Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Process vendor invoices and prepare payments
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and statements
  • Maintain AP records, including vendor W-9 forms
  • Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments
  • Prepare and file annual 1099 forms

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Record invoices and customer payments
  • Monitor receivables and follow up on past-due accounts
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate AR records

General Accounting

  • Compile financial reports related to AP and AR
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Assist with other accounting tasks as needed

Administrative Support

  • Order office supplies for multiple locations
  • Retrieve, scan, and distribute mail
  • Support ad-hoc projects across departments
  • Occasional errands and office support tasks

Your Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience (AP/AR and reconciliations)
  • Expect to work onsite 2–3 days/week, with the rest remote
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to support varied tasks

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
