We are looking for a Part Time Finance and HR Officer to help oversee the day to day running of the business. The Finance & Admin Officer will support our Senior Management Team, to maintain and develop financial and administrative processes that enables Indie16 to continue to grow. They will ensure the organisation’s finances are administered efficiently and correct and provide some general administrative support.

The role will be for 25 hours per week with a larger proportion of time spent on financial processes than on HR. This position is fully remote with occasional visit to our Crewe services if required. If you are required to travel to attend meetings you will be reimbursed for this.

You will be required to provide guidance and support to the Senior Management Team. You will be undertaking finance duties and responsibilities alongside supporting the recruitment and HR side of the company. Duties will involve process of payments of bills and raise invoices, data entry, oversight of petty cash, monthly bank reconciliations, processing end to end payroll and pensions. You will need to have excellent management skills, be able to manage your time effectively and be willing to get stuck in when needed. You will have a can-do attitude, be courteous and well driven to deliver the highest standards of supports whilst promoting company values.

Any previous knowledge and background experience of working within Children’s homes/Youth Services/Semi-independent services are not necessary for the position but is beneficial. You should have experience of web-based financial applications, database administration and some familiarity with recruitment processes.

About you:

For this role, we are looking for someone who has previous experience of working in a similar role. You must have excellent IT skills, including Word, Excel, email and accounting software predominately Xero. You must have excellent organisational skills and are able to work on your own initiative, planning your own workload and prioritising tasks. We are looking for someone with high great attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

You will be passionate about your role and be a good team player. You should be willing to undertake a DBS check and have a full UK driving licence.

You will be supporting the business with important authorities and commissioners so excellent standards of the English language are vital.
