Part/Full Time Online Tutor for Any Subjects In Local/International Curriculum


  • Location: Remote

  • Pay: SGD 50 - SGD 100/hour depending on experience

  • For candidates with private students or teaching at other institutions: Minimum 5 hours/week. If not a minimum 8 hours/week

  • Flexible timing

  • Able to commit for at least 1 year

  • Service availability: Weekday evenings and weekends preferred

  • Any subjects in academics, technology, language, extracurriculars, and digital arts. 

  • Academic Subjects include Math, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accounting, Economics, Art, ICT, Computer Science, General Studies/Pengajian Am and others

  • Tech Education & Creative Arts Subjects include Programming in any language, Robotics, Design & Animation, Video Editing & Production, Digital Music Production and others

  • Language Subjects include English, BM, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and others

  • Extracurricular Subjects include chess, public speaking, Math Olympiad and others

  • Being familiar with local OR International syllabus such as IGCSE, IB, A-level, Edexcel, AQA, American Syllabus and others

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess or be currently pursuing at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field

  • Required language(s): English or Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin

  • Good interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with parents, teachers, and management team

  • The ability to think of creative ways to engage students

  • Work experience is not required but an added advantage

  • All nationalities are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Prepares teaching materials and any additional materials for student’s learning

  • Establishes liaison with the instructor and works under the instructor’s direction to assist the student

  • Maintains records on each student who is being tutored, including follow-up and periodic assessment

  • Provides evaluations and other reports as required by staff

  • Helps students develop positive attitudes toward learning and studying and helps students develop a high level of motivation in academic areas

  • Assists students in achieving a better understanding of specific subject material and in improving academic capabilities in designated areas

  • Helps students develop the study skills necessary for academic success

  • Analyze student test data

  • Review and recommend textbooks and other educational materials

  • Recommend teaching techniques and the use of different or new technologies
