Marketplace Intern

About the position

As a Best Buy Marketplace Intern, you will gain a deep understanding of ecommerce and operating a Marketplace. You will work closely with Marketplace Leads who develop strategies and deliver business results that impact our customers. You will have the opportunity to network with individuals from across Best Buy. In addition, you’ll participate in a summer series that includes our executive speaker events, Excel and PowerPoint workshops, and personal and professional development sessions. This internship will be available from June to August 2026. It is a hybrid role, meaning you must be located within a drivable distance to our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You will be asked to come into the office 3 days per week. This internship does not have the potential to lead to a full-time opportunity. Housing will not be provided. What you’ll do Business Analysis: Analyze category performance and industry trends, and provide business recommendations on assortment, pricing, promotional planning, customer experience, and seller management; being responsible for the execution of the category strategy initiatives in support of the Marketplace Lead. Ecommerce: Learn functional ecommerce skills to build best possible customer experience and scalability and consistency across the website. Marketplace Seller Support: You will learn the functions of business development, seller onboarding and account management. Marketplace Operations: You will learn the basics around holding sellers accountable to their service level agreements to maintain their spot on our site.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, graduating fall 2026 and spring 2029
  • Must be able to work in the Richfield, MN corporate office 3 days a week, Tuesday through Thursday
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-5pm
  • Must be able to commit to the internship start and end date of 6/1/2026- 8/7/2026
  • Must be able to commit to being no more than 2 hours driving distance from the Minneapolis Corporate Campus - 7601 Penn Ave South Richfield, MN 55423
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc., will not be considered)
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
