Job Summary

The Marketing Executive will support the Marketing Manager in planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns with a strong focus on digital channels. The role is responsible for driving brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement across online and offline platforms. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, agency and internal teams, the Marketing Executive will help execute marketing strategies that align with business objectives and support growth.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Campaigns

  • Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels
  • Coordinate campaign activity across multiple platforms to ensure alignment and effectiveness
  • Assist in planning and executing offline marketing initiatives when required (events, partnerships, promotions)

Digital & Content

  • Manage and execute digital marketing activity, including website content, email marketing, and paid digital campaigns
  • Coordinate content creation for digital platforms, ensuring brand consistency and audience relevance
  • Maintain and update the company website and digital assets
  • Support the creation of marketing materials including blogs, landing pages, email campaigns, and promotional assets
  • Support SEO, PPC, and paid social activity in collaboration with external agencies
  • Support content optimisation based on performance data and user behaviour

Social Media

  • Manage social media activity across platforms
  • Feed into and support the creation of the social media schedule to drive community engagement and ensure hubs are following and utilising the LU brand for best practice and consistency

General

  • Monitor and analyse marketing activity using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations
  • Assist in campaign reporting and ROI analysis
  • Support cross-team collaboration to ensure consistent brand delivery
  • Stay up to date with digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices

Person Specification

Essential

  • 2 years' experience in marketing, with knowledge of digital marketing channels
  • Proficient in Canva, MailChimp, and WordPress (or similar CMS)
  • Experience using marketing analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, CRM platforms)
  • Strong copywriting communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Degree / equivalent qualification in Marketing or working towards
  • Experience of working within a charity or not-for-profit setting
  • Basic understanding of paid advertising and SEO principles
  • Data-driven mindset with attention to detail

Additional Information

  • Regular travel to Leisure United hubs across England will be required
  • A full UK driving licence is essential
  • Flexible or hybrid working arrangements available in line with business needs
