Our team designs, develops and maintains massively scaling technology solutions brought to life with innovative architectures, data analytics, and digital solutions.</p><p style="font-family:Arial;"> </p><p><strong>Job overview and responsibilities</strong></p><p>As a Quality Engineer Manager of Information Technology at United Airlines, you will be responsible and accountable for day-to-day supervision and direction of QE Engineers. You’ll directly supervise onsite and offshore Quality engineering professionals and ensure they are managing and owning deliverables. In this role you’ll have accountability governing quality efforts on multiple projects and/or a large program that consists of multiple testing tracks is a must. You’ll work closely with application teams and leadership to influence best quality practices and drive TMMi test maturity.</p><p> </p><ul><li>Govern functional and non-functional testing that includes agile, integration, end to end, performance, stress and endurance test with application development and non-functional teams</li><li>Offer creative solutions to solve complex problems such as reacting to technical limitations for test automation, late delivery of QA builds, scope creep, emergency changes, shifting priorities etc.</li><li>Drive innovations and efficiencies with GenAI capabilities from proof of concept to implementation across Digital Technology</li><li>Develop and implement strategies to improve QE practices from pre to post deployment (i.e. gating criteria, in sprint test automation, tooling)</li><li>Partner with application DevOps teams and build CICD pipeline for the sanity, integration and regression tests in QA and Production environments</li><li>Accountable for overseeing quality efforts on multiple projects and/or a large program that consists of multiple testing tracks and applications</li><li>Research and resolve people and project issues; provide recommendations; escalate to senior management as needed</li></ul></blockquote><h2>Qualifications</h2><blockquote style="margin-right:0px;" dir="ltr"><h3 style="font-family:Arial;margin-bottom:0px;margin-top:0px;">What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):</h3><p style="font-family:Arial;margin-bottom:0px;margin-top:0px;"> </p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information technology or similar </li><li>5+ years of Quality Engineering experience with managing large enterprise programs </li><li>3+ years of experience implementing Test Automation framework </li><li><p>3+ years of experience in supporting release automation (CICD) and application performance testing </p><p> </p></li><li>Experience leading projects while supervising large teams of QE Engineers </li><li>Willing and able to travel domestic/internationally (up to 10%) </li><li>Listening, communication, partnership and negotiation skills </li><li>Programming: Java, Selenium and SQL </li><li>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship</li><li>Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification</li><li>Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position</li></ul><p style="font-family:Arial;"> </p><h3 style="font-family:Arial;margin-bottom:0px;margin-top:0px;">What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):</h3><p style="font-family:Arial;"> </p><ul><li>TMMI (Test Maturity Model Integration) Certification and/or knowledge </li><li>CSTE or any other Test Automation related certifications  </li><li>Previous airline experience </li><li>Test Management Tools: TFS, Jira, Microsoft Test Management,  </li><li>Automation: Ready API, SOAPUI, Rest Assure, SeeTest or any others to automate API's, UI and Mobile application </li><li>Understanding of cloud, distributed, microservice, mainframe and desk top based technology (AWS Preferred) </li><li>Understanding and/or implementation of GenAI testing technologies <br> </li></ul></blockquote><br>The base pay range for this role is $99,750.00 to $129,924.00.<br>The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills.
