Logistics Operative

We are recruiting for a Logistics / Warehouse Operative to support the end-to-end physical flow of goods, including inbound receipt, storage, picking, line feeding, packing, shipping and inventory control. The role is key to ensuring physical movements of goods are accurately reflected within the ERP system, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environment

* Operate in full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies

* Follow all site safety, environmental and emergency procedures

* Handle goods, equipment and materials safely at all times

* Actively participate in safety initiatives, including reporting near misses and attending safety meetings, Identify and report any safety, housekeeping or maintenance issues to Warehouse Management

Systems & Process Control

* Complete ERP system transactions before each physical movement of goods using site IT tools and mobile devices

* Ensure physical stock movements are accurately aligned with system records, Identify and resolve discrepancies where possible, escalating unresolved issues appropriately

* Prioritise tasks based on operational urgency, including missing or critical parts

Operational Activities

Inbound & Putaway

* Receive goods in real time using the ERP system

* Store materials correctly in designated locations

Storage

* Maintain safe storage practices, including weight limits and hazardous material requirements

* Update ERP systems in real time for all material movements, Process scrap in line with authorisation procedures

Inventory Control

* Follow inventory counting procedures, including blind counts and stock reconciliation

* Adhere to delegation of authority and audit requirements

Picking & Line Feeding

* Perform picking and kitting activities accurately and on time

* Prepare materials for production lines to required standards (identified, protected and accessible)

* Maintain agreed footprint and layout standards

Packing & Shipping

* Process shipment requests in line with deadlines

* Carry out packing and shipping activities to required quality standards

NCR (Non-Conformance) Logistics

* Manage the logistical processing of NCRs in line with established procedures, Track non-conforming materials physically and within the ERP system

* Create, manage and follow up logistics NCRs based on operational inputs

* Work closely with Quality and Planning teams to resolve and close NCRs in a timely manner, Comply with all handling and storage rules and procedures

Experience

Essential

* Proven forklift driving experience

* Valid forklift licence

Desirable

* Experience working within an ERP environment (SAP preferred)

* Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S principles

Skills & Competencies

* Strong team player with a flexible approach

* Reliable, organised and detail-focused, Comfortable working with IT systems and mobile devices

* Proactive, responsible and safety-conscious attitude, Motivated with a strong desire to perform to a high standard

Shifts: Monday – Thursday 08.00 – 16.30, Friday 08.00 – 13.00
