Legal Administrator

Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join a highly successful Commercial Property team based in Stockton-on-Tees. This is a permanent job that can be worked on a full or part-time basis, with fantastic hybrid and remote working options available. Role Responsibilities
This is a varied and fast-paced job, providing key secretarial and administrative support to fee earners within the Commercial Property team. The successful Legal Secretary will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including:

  • Typing audio dictation including letters, telephone and file notes
  • Preparing and updating legal documents including leases, contracts and epitomes of title
  • Scheduling completed documents and handling client correspondence
  • Maintaining files using the Proclaim case management system
  • Conducting AML, ID, media and conflict checks
  • Preparing SDLT Returns, Land Registry forms and ordering property searches
  • Creating invoices, paying-in slips, and completion statements
  • Applying to the Land Registry and handling post-completion matters
  • General administrative tasks including scanning, photocopying, and franking post
  • Occasionally supporting colleagues in other offices remotely when required

Person Specification
We are seeking applications from Legal Secretaries or Legal Administrators with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role. You must demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in commercial or residential property (or related legal environment)
  • Confidence using legal case management systems
  •  Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and database usage
  • A highly organised and accurate approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
  • A proactive, positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
  • Quick adaptability to new systems and tasks
