You will implement national strategies for new and existing products and services, including mapping out and building stakeholder relationships. The role of the Key Account Manager is to ensure Abbott Rapid Diagnostics leads with rapid diagnostic testing within both a primary and secondary care setting and will require managing and influencing a wide variety of stakeholders.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>What You’ll Do </span></b></p><ul><li>Development of markets and customers, achieving sales targets, providing general customer service in the various areas of responsibility</li><li>Responsibility for the development and execution of the full Abbott Rdx product portfolio (with a key focus on microbiology and antimicrobial susceptibility testing) within UK.</li><li>Leading and initiating projects or work as part of a project team as required, demonstrate excellent business acumen and strive to meet and exceed agreed financial and strategic objectives</li><li>Building up a strong relationship with all stakeholders in key accounts</li><li>Participating in all sales and marketing meetings as well as all important congresses</li><li>Understanding their sales strategies and transferring the UK marketing campaigns to a regional level</li><li>Ability to articulate issues and business opportunities with relevant customers to secure long term strategic business opportunities<br> </li></ul><p><b><span>Required Qualifications / Profile </span></b></p><ul><li>Experience in Sales and Point of Care / Diagnostics / Lab Industry</li><li>Experience in microbiology and antimicrobial susceptibility testing preferable</li><li>Familiar with laboratory and diagnostic industry practices</li><li>Thorough knowledge of UK healthcare industry, NHS and private healthcare providers</li><li>Consistent track record of achieving profitable growth</li><li>Proven success in complex negotiations and contract delivery</li><li>Strong knowledge of leasing, managed services, and long sales cycles</li><li>Experience driving change initiatives in customer‑focused organisations</li><li>Confident, persuasive communicator with strong stakeholder management skills</li><li>Ability to think innovatively and challenge existing ways of working</li><li>Self‑motivated, resilient, and effective in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments</li><li>Results‑driven with exceptional selling skills and customer focus</li><li>Experienced working with primary and secondary care stakeholders</li><li>Skilled in building robust business cases</li><li>Background in medical devices, diagnostics, or laboratory environments</li><li>Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Working at Abbott </span></b></p><p></p><p>At Abbott, you can do work that matters, grow, and learn, care for yourself and family, be your true self and live a full life.
