About The Role:

Looking for a role where you can start making an impact immediately? This placement at KEYENCE will give you the chance to support, enhance, and improve our IT systems and processes.

Your day-to-day duties will look like

·Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues to end-users and internal teams, including analysis and resolution of complex problems with escalation when necessary.

·Assist in the installation, configuration, maintenance, inventory, and monitoring of IT systems such as servers, PC’s, and network infrastructure, ensuring system performance and security.

·Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects, implement new technologies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the IT department.

·Document technical procedures, user guides, and support tickets to maintain clear communication, knowledge sharing, and compliance with company policies.

·Participate in the development and deployment of automation tools to improve operational efficiency and support IT asset and software license management.

·Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong communication with stakeholders to ensure effective support and relationship management.

Experience You Will Gain:

·Operational understanding: Exposure to IT service management processes, asset/patch management, endpoint security, and best practices.

Whilst this is a temporary position until June 2027, there is potential for it to develop into an opportunity to join our IT Department on a permanent basis once you have completed your university studies.

Personal Requirements:

·Strong problem-solving and efficient troubleshooting of technical issues.

·Solid technical foundation: computer hardware, Windows OS, and basic cybersecurity best practices.

·Familiarity with scripting/programming (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus, not required.

·Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

·Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

·Growth mindset: willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to change.

·Undergraduate in any Computer/IT related discipline. (Must be mid degree, not mid masters)

·Must be eligible to work in the UK by the time the role commences.
