What to Expect Consider before submitting an application:    This position is expected to start around September 2025 and continue through the Fall term (approximately December 2025) or into Spring 2026 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships. International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. About the Team The IT MFG team is critical to keeping the factory running. When any level of outage occurs they respond on the bridge and lineside to support productions need. They own all mission critical hardware such as hmis, mfg cameras, printers, and digital signage. These systems work together to enable production to run smoothly. IT MFG has also become the point team in implementing new policies to enhance the level of security maintained company wide. IT MFG team also provides Tier 1/Tier 2 support for NetOps and works closely with them to support thousands of end devices. This position will be based in Fremont, CA. What You’ll Do - Deploy and support various endpoint systems which include desktop/laptop hardware, POS terminals, tablets, digital signage, printers, scanners, and telephony devices - Respond to requests and incidents from our employees daily - Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability in our remote environments - Diagnose site network infrastructure issues and address in advance of service disruptions - Work closely with multiple IT Operations teams to resolve issues and deploy equipment into the production environment - Understanding project requirements and developing project plans to deliver on time through collaboration with different teams within Tesla - Some planned travel to and from remote sites across regions, with occasional short-notice travel required What You’ll Bring - Currently enrolled in an educational program for Computer Science, Networking, Information Systems, or equivalent and graduating between 2025-2026 - Experience with desktop (Windows, macOS, & Linux), infrastructure, network, and software support - Excellent understanding of networking components and technologies, including routers, firewalls, switches, access points, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ARP, OSI model - Support experience with IPSec, SD-WAN, fiber, coaxial, and Cellular modem networks with the ability to log level 1 technical support tickets with service providers is a plus - Experience with Active Directory, JAMF, SCCM, Azure and Windows server environments - Experience in supporting Apple and Android mobile devices along with Intune MDM - PowerShell or Python experience is a plus
