At ALTOUR, you’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where your voice matters and your success is a shared journey. <strong>Click here for more information about Altour. </strong></p> <p> </p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <p><strong>JOB OVERVIEW</strong></p> <p>Assist ALTOUR Travel Consultants in ensuring that all international reservations are confirmed at the lowest possible fare, utilising technical knowledge of air fare construction as well as Altour contracts, whilst seeking to maximise revenue with every transaction. </p> <p> </p> <p>This is a remote role and we would consider applicants in both the UK and US.  </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review all International reservations to ensure the lowest air fare is confirmed for our ALTOUR clients</li> <li>Review alternative air fare quotes, utilising Altour contracts where appropriate</li> <li>Adopt a ‘creative’ approach to reducing air fares using techniques such as (and not limited to): split ticketing, around the world or circle fares, combining trips, bulk & net fare usage, analysing codeshare pricing variations, making use of corporate or entertainment deals.</li> <li>Review ideas amongst the team members within the International Rate Desk UK/US if required, including UK net fare and ticketing assistance where relevant</li> <li>Demonstrate a very high knowledge of SABRE GDS entries & formats, with particular reference to pricing entries</li> <li>Field questions from Travel consultants on formats and faring as well as providing a degree of product & industry knowledge</li> <li>Provide clear, concise & timely responses via email to our internal clients with accurate cost saving & commission earning advice</li> <li>Show intent to improve ticket (and by default, Altour) revenues at every opportunity</li> <li>Demonstrate good time management skills in prioritising urgent requests</li> <li>Show an aptitude for familiarisation with Altour air contracts & interpretation of associated tables & grids</li> <li>Assist our Travel consultants in reissue & refund procedures & calculations</li> <li>Provide assistance with regards debit memo analysis and resolution</li> <li>Display a good awareness of airline developments, especially those relating to Altour deals</li> <li>Support co-workers when asked for assistance in rate related problem solving.
