RATE OF PAY: £18.30 - £26.82 per hour based on shift times

We are recruiting for HGV Class 2 Driver for our client, WINCANTON SAINSBURYS; the role involves Convenience store delivery work. Enjoy competitive pay rates and plenty of overtimeFixed rotas available for a minimum of 4 shifts per week.  

Shift Start Times Available: 

  • 20:00 – 00:00 - Nights 
  • 04:00 – 08:00 - Days 

****Estimated minimum weekly pay based on 55 hours £1,006**** 

****Expected minimum annual earnings £52,338****   

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

DUTIES: 

  • Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others. 
  • Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage. 
  • Always provide excellent customer service and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery. 
  • HGV Class 2 drivers must Carry out multi-drop deliveries within the delivery window in a safe manner. 
  • Be aware of any vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary 
  • Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills 
  • Be a good timekeeper and be able to work unsupervised 
  • Possess an Enthusiastic and reliable attitude towards delivering first class customer service 
  • Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work

Requirements: 

  • HGV CLASS 2 license (minimum 6 months C+E experience) 
  • Full HGV CLASS 2 licence with no more than six points for minor endorsements 
  • Digital Tacho and Driver Qualification Cards 
  • Strong understanding of Driver’s Hoursregulations, and Working Time Directive 
  • Excellent geographical knowledge 
  • Customer-focused attitude
