Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Patrol Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within Springfield Township in Summit County.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents and take appropriate action as necessary.
Enforce laws and regulations while maintaining a visible presence to promote safety within the community.
Document incidents and prepare reports detailing observations and actions taken during patrols.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure a coordinated response to security issues.
Provide assistance in conflict management situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
Maintain knowledge of loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage within the area of responsibility.

Requirements

MUST BE OPOTA CERTIFIED, OR CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN AN ACADEMY.
Experience in law enforcement is highly desirable, but not necessary.
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during shifts.
