Grounds Laborer Job Description: Maintains efficient operation and upkeep of the property buildings and grounds.


    Job ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel. Help maintain the daily upkeep of grounds and building maintenance for various commercial and residential property sites. Maintain communities’ appearance by picking up trash/litter on grounds and notifying management of any exterior repairs. Clean stairways and entryways by either sweeping and/or blowing them out. Wipe down window sills, doors, and windows. Assist with routine and preventative maintenance procedures for various commercial and residential property sites. Provide landscaping services by using hand or power tools and other landscaping equipment. Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls. Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes. Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger. Trim shrubs and pull weeds. Shovel snow from walkways and treat walkways to prevent people from falling. Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed. Install/move rock, cement, lighting, water, and furniture.
  • Perform any other duties that fall into a grounds laborer job description determined by management.

    Essential Job Functions:Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times. Must be available to work over-time in emergency situations and during inclement weather. Must be able to work outside or inside in various weather conditions and temperatures. Must be able to work independently or with a team.
  • Must be able to safely lift at least 50 pounds.

    RequirementsValid Driver’s License. CDL Preferred.
  • Must be able to work 7:30am-4:00pm daily.
