Pediatric Front Desk Receptionist (Bilingual Spanish/English)

Marta Markman, MD & Associates is a busy, well-established pediatric practice seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish and English, enjoys working with children and families, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Position Summary

The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients and families. This role requires excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy pediatric office.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients and families in a friendly and professional manner
  • Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-payments
  • Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries
  • Enter and update patient demographic information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Scan and upload documents into patient charts
  • Coordinate patient flow and communicate with clinical staff
  • Assist with prior authorizations and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish/English required
  • Prior medical front desk or pediatric office experience preferred
  • Experience verifying insurance (Medicaid and commercial plans preferred)
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Experience

  • Pediatric office experience
  • Knowledge of Maryland Medicaid MCOs
  • Experience with Office Practicum or similar EMR systems

Schedule

Full-time position. Monday–Friday with occasional extended hours depending on patient volume.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
