FLEX Systems Engineer, Hashi Vault

This is a temporary position.

JOB SUMMARY

 Qualified candidate will be part of the Privileged Access Management (PAM) team within the Global Information Security organization.  The primary focus areas for this position are design, deployment, integration, administration, and day to day operations of the HashiCorp Vault solution. Candidate will act as an intermediary for system administrators, service providers and application owners with the IAM organization. Candidate should have a proven background in the HashiCorp Vault technology.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 Education and Experience

 Required:

·        Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or related field or equivalent experience / certification

·        5+ years of information technology engineering experience including

o   1 years of experience in building and managing HashiCorp Vault or equivalent technology experience

o   2 year of coding experience with PowerShell

o   2 years of experience with AWS or Azure cloud services

o   2 years of experience with directory services, Windows, Linux, application, and database

o   2 years of experience with supporting application development teams

·        Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a matrixed, cross functional, large organization.

 

Preferred:

·        Experience with managing credential, authentication, and tokenization via HashiCorp Vault

·        Experience with JSON and Rest API

·        Experience with developing and applying HashiCorp Vault patterns

·        Experience with DevOps

·        Experience with business analysis and requirements gathering for complex business systems

·        Experience with high availability and disaster recovery setups

·        Experience with broad areas of IAM methodologies and solutions

·        Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

·        Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

·        Experience in researching emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

·        Participates with a group of stakeholders in the creation and deployment of security processes that benefit from the HashiCorp Vault solution.

·        Work with group of stakeholders to support onboarding new applications and services.

·        Define, document, and enforce HashiCorp Vault policies and procedures.

·        Create test cases to ensure cross platform interoperability.

·        Implement and validate security controls for the HashiCorp Vault solution.

·        Design security solutions to adequately address risks throughout the Marriott SDLC process.

·        Monitor the HashiCorp Vault solution service levels, and triage issues reported by the 24/7 operations team.

·        Support the identification and remediation of security events.
