We are currently looking for an experiencedFleet Plannerto join our fantastic team at Tarmac ‘Hub’ in Mountsorrel, Quorn, near to Loughborough, Leicestershire. As well as Loughborough this role is easily accessible from Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Barrow upon Soar, Syston, Shepshed, Coalville, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Ibstock, Swadlincote, Measham, Tamworth, Atherstone, Hinkley, Nottingham, Derby, Long Eaton, Kegworth, Burton upon Trent and the surrounding areas.

This key role isworking as part of a small team. It isoffice basedat The Hub, Mountsorrel. Followingprobation,wherepossible,weallow the team towork from home one day a week(either a Monday or Wednesday).

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, therole ofFleet Plannerwill work with multidisciplinary teams with both internal and external stakeholders including customers, customer service,planningand haulage drivers. The role will alsobe responsible for:

  • Monitoring‘on the day’deliveries and resolving of deliveries issues
  • Planning of next day and future deliveries
  • Handling of inbound and outbound callsand resolving queries
  • Process customer’s orders
  • Raise any safety concernsimmediately
  • Proactively chase and inform of changes
  • Complaint handling
  • Effective communication with key stakeholders
  • Accurate recording of data
  • Uphold company values
  • Effective management of assets and materials
  • Sourcing and management of external assets
  • Effective cost management

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidatefortherole ofFleet Plannerwill already have proven experience working in a hectic Planning role but we welcome applications from those who enjoy working in a busy, challenging customer focussed environment dealing with multiple stakeholders.

Suitable candidates for the role ofFleetPlannerwill also have:

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability tomulti taskand manage expectations successfully
  • Proven customer service and telephone skills
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven teamwork capability
  • Speed and efficiency in making decisions
  • Commercial awareness
  • IT literacy
  • Good geographical knowledge of the Midlands region (preferred)
  • Knowledge of transport law (preferred but not essential)
