<p></p><p><b><span>Job Summary:</span></b><br /> </p><p>The Healthcare Industries Material Site (HIMS) DuPont's plant in Hemlock, MI has an exciting opportunity for Extrusion Operators.</p><p>Our team is looking for top caliber, technically capable operators who are focused on safety, embrace change, make informed decisions, possess self-confidence and leadership skills and are lifelong learners.</p><p></p><p>Job Details:</p><ul><li><p>These positions have a minimum starting hourly rate of $21.00-$27.00 per hour with potential career progression.</p></li><li><p>Potential for overtime opportunities.</p></li><li><p>Eligible for an additional $1.00 per hour if assigned to a role that covers midnight shifts or $2.00 per hour if assigned to a role that covers afternoon shifts.</p></li><li><p>Benefits (medical, dental, 401K, vacation/et al.) are available upon hire.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Primary Duties & Responsibilities:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Operating process related equipment and plant process control systems in a safe, environmentally responsible manner.</p></li><li><p>Optimizing plant performance by monitoring process equipment and conditions using information systems including: temperatures, pressures, and flow rates.</p></li><li><p>Collecting and reporting plant measurements related to performance, asset utilization, quality, costs, yield, environmental health and safety, production rates, etc.</p></li><li><p>Adjusting control systems and manually operated equipment based on process and lab data.</p></li><li><p>Determining root causes of deviations in process, product, or equipment performance through use of troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis.</p></li><li><p>Identifying opportunities for improvement and implement improvements when appropriate.</p></li><li><p>Performing daily tasks efficiently using the appropriate computer tools and software.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>In addition, successful candidate must meet the following physical qualifications, with or without accommodation:</p><ul><li><p>Be willing and able to work all applicable shifts including weekends and holidays and work overtime when needed.</p></li><li><p>Be able to pass a functional physical testing and be able to use standard safety equipment.</p></li><li><p>Be able to lift 50 lbs, lift hoses, bolt flanges, and operate valves and similar equipment routinely.</p></li><li><p>Communicate effectively across a diverse work group.</p></li><li><p>Follow procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation.</p></li><li><p>Perceive, identify, and respond to plant and site alarms.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to read, write, and speak English.</p></li><li><p>Standing for considerable amounts of time.</p></li><li><p>Climbing of stairs and ladders occasionally.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Education & Experience:</span></b></p><p></p><p><span>Required:</span></p><ul><li><p>A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.</p></li><li><p>Must have a current, valid, US driver’s license.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Preferred:</p><p></p><p>Possess one or more of the following:</p><ul><li><p>4+ years military experience OR/AND 4+ years manufacturing experience.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p style="text-align:left">At DuPont, our purpose is to empower the world with essential innovations to thrive.
