If you're passionate about leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to inform strategic decisions, we want to hear from you. **About arenaflex's Risk Finance Group** arenaflex's Risk Finance group is responsible for planning, forecasting, and evaluating global Loss Provision and Credit Reserves. The team also provides credit-related decision support to Risk Management, local Finance, and business groups on underwriting, customer management, credit, and collections activities. As a Director of Data Science, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's shaping the future of risk management and financial decision-making. **Key Responsibilities** As a Director of Data Science, you'll lead the Global Data Strategy group in developing and implementing centralized reporting capabilities, process enhancements, and automation. Your primary duties will include: * **Lead the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance**: Develop and present key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management, leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning techniques. * **Own precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and become a subject matter expert of the applicable tools**: Troubleshoot issues, reconcile results, identify enhancements and automation opportunities, and train other customers to drive adoption. * **Develop and maintain preferred and ad-hoc reports used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; provide credit-related analytical support**: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions. * **Build and maintain relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.**: Foster strong partnerships and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. * **Provide decision-support with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities in the portfolio which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions**: Develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business growth and risk management. **Required Qualifications** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * **Advanced experience working with a maximum of the following is required: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1**: Proven expertise in one or more of these areas is essential. * **Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint required**: Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is necessary for success in this role. * **Experience in ML modeling is a plus**: Familiarity with machine learning techniques and tools is a desirable asset. * **Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions**: Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex ideas simply are essential. * **Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills**: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines is critical. * **Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines**: Strong work ethic and ability to prioritize tasks effectively are essential. * **Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes**: Ability to navigate complex problems and develop creative solutions is necessary. * **A robust work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the potential to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals**: Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role. * **Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline required**: A graduate degree in a quantitative field is necessary for this position. **Considerations for Sponsorship** arenaflex may offer visa sponsorship for certain positions, depending on business unit requirements, the nature of the position, value, and relevant laws.
