**The Role**

As a Customer Service Representative – Union Benefits Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in educating members about the benefits available to them through their union affiliation. You'll work closely with our clients to understand their needs and provide personalized support to help them make informed decisions about their benefits. While sales will be involved, we're committed to a customer-centric approach that prioritizes the needs of our clients above all else.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide exceptional customer service to union members, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Educate members about the benefits available to them through their union affiliation, including health insurance, life insurance, and other benefits
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized support to help them make informed decisions about their benefits
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery of benefits to clients
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, while maintaining a customer-centric approach that prioritizes the needs of our clients
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices

**Essential Qualifications**

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service or a related field
  • Proven leadership abilities and a strong track record of success in a customer-facing role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Self-motivation and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Fluency in English (bilingual in any language is a plus, but not required)
  • Must reside in California

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Experience working with labor unions, credit unions, or associations
  • Knowledge of benefits and insurance products, including health insurance, life insurance, and other benefits
  • Experience with sales and customer service software, including CRM systems and sales tracking tools
  • Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g. Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
