Nature of Work:
Event Operations Assistant is a part time variable hour position that will coordinate and assist with event operations and event development at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park field complex and parking lots surrounding the stadium as well as private event spaces inside the stadium.  This position will also act as the field supervisor by monitoring all activities on the fields on weeknights, weekends, and some holidays.  A majority of the events fall during our open grass season from April to mid-October with limited events from mid-October to March.

Examples of work performed:
  • Coordinates event operations including practices, leagues, tournaments, and other events
  • Organizes set-up and logistics for field events, private events, special events, leagues, trainings, etc.
  • Assists Stadium Operations during Colorado Rapids home games/concerts/International Games/etc. with event set up, management, and tear down
  • Monitor’s patron actions to ensure all DSGP policies, procedures, and standards are met and upheld
  • Respond to and properly address incidents/accidents and implement DSGP procedures
  • Provides Event Organizers and patrons with accessibility and customer service
  • Works with management and other staff to assist in day-to-day operations of Fields Complex, Private Events, Special Events, leagues, trainings, etc.
  • Assists with the creation and development of new events and business

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Ability to work for several hours in a variety of weather conditions 
  • Ability to work a varied schedule to include numerous nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
  • Minimum
  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Minimum of two years customer service experience
  3. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, clients, and patrons
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks
  • Interest or experience in sports or events
  • General proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Compensation
  • Base hourly $21.00/hour
