<Responsibilities>

  • Prepare detailed electrical estimates for construction projects, including generator sales, utilizing industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and contracts to develop comprehensive cost proposals aligned with project scope and client expectations.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to maximize value and maintain competitive edge.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, construction teams, and clients to ensure accurate scope understanding and cost control throughout project execution.
  • Conduct site visits to assess electrical installation requirements, verify existing conditions, and support accurate estimating.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards, construction estimating best practices, and industry trends to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Utilize Bluebeam for digital markup of plans and documents, streamlining communication across project teams.
  • Support contract development by reviewing terms related to electrical work and generator sales to mitigate risks and ensure clarity.

<Qualifications>

  • Proven experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and installation processes.
  • Hands-on electrical experience combined with construction site exposure to accurately assess project needs.
  • Familiarity with construction management principles, contracts, and project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is highly desirable.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing while maintaining positive relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Knowledge of NEC standards to ensure all estimates meet safety and code compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical details clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.
