The Role This role works closely with Account Executives, Retention Executives, and Managing Directors to win and retain our largest corporate and TEM (Tax Exempt Markets) clients in support of WI sales and client retention goals. As a Product & Service Consultant/Sales Product Consultant, you are responsible for project managing all aspects of the sales process from initial capabilities through proposals, prospect meetings and contract handoffs. PSCs help drive the strategy to position Fidelity’s products and services by assessing plan sponsor needs. This role relies heavily on your knowledge of Fidelity’s products and services and utilizing your network and relationship building skills to collaborate and work across multiple internal business partners and SMEs. Responsibilities

  • Organize end-to-end sales and/or retention efforts, take initiative to improve effectiveness and efficiency and embrace new technologies.
  • Lead the proposal process for sales and/or retention opportunities including identifying prospect/customer needs, custom response drafting, multi-product sales integration, financials and investments review, drive deadlines and oversee the overall end-to-end proposal delivery.
  • Coordinate activities for prospect/client sales finals and site visits including agenda development, speaker preparation, site planning, presentation materials, and present product capabilities and technical demos.
  • Actively interact with external and/or internal customers to identify and anticipate requirements, expectations, and needs.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of products, services, and competitive market trends to differentiate Fidelity’s value prop and promote prospect- or client-focused solutions throughout the sales process.
  • Influence others and navigate solutions towards desired client needs identified in the sales process, while maintaining relationships and supporting consensus with key business decision makers.
  • Educate internal business partners on details of the client and/or prospect, effectively coach associates for sales finals presentations, and provide valuable and actionable feedback to improve sales delivery.

Requirements

  • Defined Contribution experience required / multi-product experience desired (including but not limited to Defined Benefit, Health & Wealth, Health Savings, Managed Accounts, Nonqualified, Student Debt, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s Degree required / MBA or other advance degree a plus
  • Minimum 7 years related product or industry experience / Fidelity experience desirable
  • Series 7 and 63 required (can be attained in role)
  • Approximately 15-25% travel requirement
