Are you fired up to elect Democrats up and down the ticket?<br><br></strong></strong><strong>Position Summary<br><br></strong>The Democratic National Committee is seeking a talented and creative Digital Rapid Response Director to join our content and creative team. The Digital Rapid Response Director will manage a team of creative professionals developing content on various social media platforms for DNC properties (like @FactPostNews). You’re a good fit for this role if you’re politically savvy, adept at following the news, quick on your feet, experienced at managing and delegating projects, and have a strong understanding of what types of content perform well on each social media platform.<br><br>This is an in-person role based out of the DNC's office in Washington, D.C.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Work closely with the DNC’s mobilization, communications and research teams to formulate and execute a smart, aggressive rapid response social media strategy</li><li>Propose and generate content hitting Republicans for their hypocrisy</li><li>When possible, use rapid response moments to drive a strong theory of change, empowering supporters to take action that will have an impact</li><li>Manage and project plan for a team of rapid response video editors, platforms strategists, and graphic designers.</li><li>Help ideate creative projects in line with our profile voice(s) and formats.</li><li>Follow the news and be able to identify good clips and content opportunities and execute on them.</li><li>Analyze social media content performance and help adapt strategy accordingly.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>At least 3–4 years’ experience working in politics or a newsroom environment.</li><li>Experience creating and publishing social media content (ideally with a portfolio or examples!)</li><li>Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; you should have an eagle-eye for typos and errors.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Incredibly organized; able to prioritize multiple projects moving at different speeds in a deadline-driven environment. You have a keen sense of what preparations might be required for any situation and are proactive about making them happen.<br><br></li></ul><strong><strong>Travel</strong></strong>: The Digital Director of Rapid Response position will not require travel.<br><br><strong><strong>Salary</strong></strong>: The starting salary for the Digital Director of Rapid Response position is $90,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.<br><br>This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends.<br><br>Due to federal campaign finance rules, only U.S. citizens or U.S. green card holders are eligible for this role.
