Design Assistant - Intimates

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of collaboration driven , close to body product by assisting with day to day design tasks across intimates categories
  • Research and stay informed on global cultural, aesthetic, and performance trends relevant to close to body and intimate apparel
  • Assist in translating guest insight, cultural signals, trend research, and wear testing feedback into design concepts that enhance both experience and expression
  • Support the creation and updating of technical sketches, ensuring construction details and material intent are clearly communicated
  • Take detailed notes during fit sessions, capturing athlete feedback, fabric behavior, and performance considerations, and assist with updating styles based on direction
  • Partner cross-functionally with product development, raw materials, colour , merchandising, sourcing, and design operations to help ensure cohesion from concept through execution
  • Support the balance of aesthetics, comfort, and support across close to body product, ensuring designs feel confident, modern, and considered
  • Assist with applying colour and graphics across new, core, and carryover styles, with sensitivity to material behavior, technical feasibility, and commercial intent
  • Collaborate closely with Designers and cross-functional partners to maintain clear communication and keep projects moving forward
  • Shadow senior designers to learn construction principles, pattern logic, and how complete looks and assortments are built
  • Develop an emerging design point of view through hands on work, feedback, and guided mentorship

Skills

  • 0–2 years of industry experience (internships and placements included)
  • BA, BFA, or BS in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related discipline (or equivalent)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Strong interest in textiles, materials, and apparel design
  • Foundational design skills to support the creation of garments that are aesthetically compelling, functional, and commercially viable
  • Ability to support mockups, tech sketch updates, and detailed note-taking during fittings
  • Strong communication skills—able to clearly articulate ideas visually and verbally, and actively incorporate feedback
  • Innovative mindset with curiosity around how materials and construction can improve athlete performance
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage files, materials, research, and samples accurately and efficiently
