Data Center Contractor Supervisor (Focuses on Cleaning and Janitorial)

Position Overview

Data Center Services Group (DCSG) is seeking a Data Center Site Supervisor to support operations at a large-scale data center campus in Abilene, Texas.

This role will supervise a small team performing critical environment cleaning and infrastructure support inside active data center environments.

The primary focus will be server rack and cabinet cleaning, but the role will also support other data center tasks such as rack transport, installations, and general infrastructure support.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage a team while also assisting with technical work when required.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Supervision

  • Supervise a team of technicians working onsite Monday–Friday
  • Coordinate daily work activities and assignments
  • Ensure work is performed safely and according to site procedures
  • Communicate regularly with DCSG management and client personnel
  • Provide daily updates on work progress and site needs

Data Center Cleaning Operations

  • Oversee server rack and cabinet cleaning operations
  • Coordinate raised floor and concrete slab cleaning activities
  • Ensure critical environments remain clean and compliant with site standards
  • Monitor team performance and quality of work

Data Center Infrastructure Support

  • Assist with rack installations and decommissioning
  • Support rack and equipment transport within the facility
  • Assist with containment modifications and minor infrastructure work
  • Work alongside technicians to complete daily tasks when needed

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to make decisions and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable supervising teams in active data centers
  • Ability to coordinate work and adjust staffing based on daily needs
  • Professional interaction with client site personnel

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in the following areas are strongly preferred:

  • Data center operations or colocation environments
  • Server rack cleaning or critical environment cleaning
  • Raised floor environments
  • Rack installations or equipment moves
  • Structured cabling or data center infrastructure work

Construction, facilities, or technical trade experience is also valuable.

Work Environment

  • Active hyperscale / enterprise data center campus
  • Raised floor and slab environments
  • Work performed around live IT infrastructure and power systems

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work on ladders when required
  • Ability to work in underfloor environments and confined spaces

Contract Details

  • 6-month contract position
  • Strong likelihood of extension based on performance and project needs
  • Monday – Friday onsite supervision
